Default scrambler spring for big boy?

Alright couple questions. Im 250lbs and squatt my scrammy a little more than I like. Im on an 04 500 4x4. Has a non-fox shock with a yellow spring. I have heard that the fox shock is better but will still squatt down a bunch. Are all model rear springs rated the same or interchangable? I have my shock adjusted at the max setting and the spring is loose within the collars. It is regardless of which position the collar is in. Once my weights on the machine it obviously gets tighter but It squatts a ton before the spring starts to hold its own. If i go with a fox shock (I believe 01-03 only) I know I can have it rebuilt (not sure where) but was wondering if any other quad or scrambler rear spring would swap out and help me a little?

Your best bet is to either get a custom made spring from a place like my buddies at MCR Suspension @ MCR Suspension Home Page (they are the best you can get) or you can take off the spring, measure, and try and find a match from something...

Or go to Polaris, and ask them if they know....

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

I am in the same weight range as you and my FOX setup is great.IT does squat but it is made like that.Find a rear FOX shock off of a 2000-2003 and set the preload a tad tighter than mid and you should be ok.

My home made pliers did get the job too.

If you have a Fox shock, you certainly can re-valve the shock to your weight as well
