I've been on Popo's for 6 years, and never had a breakdown. I have, however, towed out two Kawasaki's, a Suzuki, and a Polaris. I've seen Honda's and Can-Am's dragged out, all broke on the trail. So much for true reliability. They all break. Especially when they're neglected.

Hey RP, your Hawkeye was phenomenal & was ridden a lot harder than mine. Sold mine in mid summer and the guy loves it - problem free.

My neighbor has welded his hawkeye in 2 different places and replaced many parts but it gets rode hard. I don't ride it I am afraid it will brake again.

I'm not gentle with mine by no means. But I draw the line at jumping, the Hawkeye is a utility quad and I just don't feel it can stand up to that sort of abuse. Like I said in a previous post .... Once the bugs were worked out, it's been a very reliable bike. So don't be afraid to have fun with it.

Well lets see....
10 hrs...New tranny (wrong bearing from factory blew out the gears)
11 hrs... Left headlight blew out (replacement from wally world, still works)
15 hrs...New Main bearing seal and drive belt (mechanic messed up the seal when putting new tranny in, blew oil into the belt drive housing)
143 hrs...Rear sub frame a-arm mounts broke (not covered by polaris replaced myself)
206 hrs... all recalls done 2 years late..(I'm lazy, If it ain't broke dont fix it)
Total cost??? 2700 miles and over 206 hrs of sheer fun!!!!!!!!!
Priceless

Would your neighbor say you are responsible for it if it broke, even if you weren't doing anything to cause it to break? If so....then definantly do NOT ride it.
