Default Scrambler 500 4x4 tires

Thinking of getting some new tires to replace the 489's and am having a hard time deciding on what to get. What are all of you running on your scramblers? I was thinking of doing the Maxxis Zilla's in the rear with something that will stear well but still grip well in the front. Also if oyu have pictures of your quad that shows the tires post em up.

For all around riding you still cant beat the stock 489s.

I have the ITP Terracross radials and they are unbelievable. Best all around tire out there in my opinion. RADIALS are the way to go! Great improvement. ITP is top notch quality.

I had the Terra Cross's on my Brute before I got rid of it. I absolutely loved them, but they don't make them in any size close to the sotckers on the Scrambler. I was looking to keep close to stock with the new tires.

589s are a gnarlier version of the 489s and come in alot of different sizes and are made by alot of the major makers. PS, you do have to keep the ratio of tire sizes the same on a Scramber if I'm not mistaken. The fronts are taller than the rears. The ratio of the front to the rear circumference-wise is 72.2/69.08. If you went up an inch on each tire it would be 75.36/72.2. Circumference is the tire diameter times 3.14. Both work out to be about the same at a 1.044 and 1.045 to 1 ratio. That would be stock for the first and 24 front and 23 rear for the second set of numbers. 25 front and 24 rear would be 1.036 to 1 ratio. Probably would still work.
