I was referring to BUILD date of machine clutches are on. If you are talking about the plastic lock bushing under the cover by the spyder,some models of clutches didnt have them!

Is there any numbers on the clutch that will tell me anything further? Otherwise, I guess I'll have to take it in. Man, you think it would be a little easier method to identify the difference! 
The funny thing is on the 2006 800 efi parts, the drive clutch doesn't say ebs but the driven does and you have to have both to make them work. Thanks for all the help!

I read that a 2007 drive clutch - 1322555 for a 500 will work and have the correct spring. you have to also use the belt for the 2007
