2006 800 sportsman front lights do not work any ideas fuses to check ?

 

Check to make sure the harness that plugs into the switch is in properly. Hopefully it's an easy fix! Then check fuses and for power to the lights and switch.

 

The "pod" headlight mysteriously quit working on my '08 sportsman 500 HO last winter. Tore everything apart, checked bulb and fuses...nothing. Got the service manual on line here and started tracing wires and found the hot wire to the that headlight runs up the handlebars and was cut clean off like someone had cut it. Turns out that the wire harness is stretched so tight there that when I turned the bars hard left or right, there was tension on the wire and it snapped. I had a fun time trying to splice in a jumper wire with NO slack to work with. So I guess if you checked the bulbs and fuse, start tracing the wires...

 

Same thing on my 2004.5 600, the wires were cut inside the pod by the steering shaft. Might be the problem.
