Back Brakes
#2
The way Polaris designed the rear brakes, they really don't work that well. Not uncommon to have the peddle just go to mush on some. The front brake handle actually works both the front and rear, so you're not really in any danger if the rear pedal does go out.
I've had one Polaris that the pedal needed adjusted once, and was fine. Had another that seemed like you could bleed it every other ride and it would fade. Never leaked fluid, and did it with new pads as well.

The front stops like mad for two reason, the fronts has 2 disk not just one like the back and the handle also operates the back brake at 40% the other 60% goes to the front.
If I use the back brake pedal alone I can still lock up the back wheels but you have to really stand on it. The back brake is for emergency only if your main brake ever fails.
