2007 polaris 500 efi problem

Default 2007 polaris 500 efi problem

went out today smelled gas when idling took cap off engine quit and gas sprayed out of filler neck put cap back on got it started once i think battery is shot but would that create the fuel problem

Check your vent tube coming from the fuel tank for kinks or obstructions.If you still smell gas then front cab needs to be removed to check quick disconnect on fuel pump and gasket for seepage. Not a bad idea to trace fuel line all the way to throttle body quick disconnect for any leaks at all! Good luck OPT

guessing you have pinched vent line some where letting pressure build up.

thanks i replaced battery found cut vent tube line and alsoadjusted throttle cable seemed to work so far
