Unhappy T-bap???

i am having issues with my polaris 2006 sportsman 800,while out riding after about 3 hrs it started back firing and stalling out,we have done the simple things for checks such as spark, bad gas, compression. so i started the fun stuff with checking connectors and i found that when i unplug the positioner sensor into the throttle body the quad ran good......now does that mean the sensor is screwed or because i unhooked it does the quad go into a limp home mode and at least make it drivable, and the real problem is somewhere else. by the way does t-bap staand for throttle body assembly positioner?
PLEASE HELP

most likely the wires are damaged for the t-bap, you may not be able to see the damage, wires usually broke inside of the wire cover.

It is in the rubber boot between the air box and the throttle body.

i had an 800 do that, wasn't the wiring or t bap sensor, the throttle position sensor was out of sync, the dealer has the tools to reset it to where it is supposed to be, takes twenty minutes at the most
