Was hoping someone could help me out on this and maybe send some pictures of there projects and success on them?... been wanting to do this for some time now and thinks it looks really cool when done right, was wondering what to do on shifter side when front plastic comes down to the heat sheild? does heat sheld have to just come off when shaving front plastics or is there a way to cut it and still have it left on and still look good??? any help and or pictures would be much appreciated, thanks guys, shaun

I'm not sure how much or where you plan to shave, but when we did my buddies 450R, the best way to do it is to tape along where you want for a guide, and cut away

and once your cuts are made, take either one of those small propane torches, or a heat gun, and heat the end of the plastic, and use something(your fingers or something like a rubber bondo spreader), to go along the edge, some people sand the edge, but we didn't want to risk the sand paper slippin across the top of the fender or something stupid like that

Post a little more detailed idea of what your mean

Finished Product!!!.... Complete shave front and rear fenders... finally no more gay plastic mud flaps (even though served great purpose) just not a fan at all! Just gives the 400 scramblers such a better, tougher look (which they could use). Now need to figure out something for the factory nerf bars? any suggestions on ones that will weld up fairly easy? where to get them at? Has any one done this???
