Default Front diff fluid fill tips.

Just thought I'd take a pole to see what people use to fill exactly 5 oz of demand drive fluid into the front diff. It is such a tight fit. My dealer says some guys fill it through the vent line. Anyone have any special method they use. Special funnel or syringe?

Default Fill

I use an extra top from an 80W90 gear lube bottle and a piece of clear tubing. Works pretty slick!

Default Hub Fluid

I measure out 5 oz. in something then put in the Hub with a meat injector. Works excellent!

It seems to me that putting in exactly 5 ounces is kind of arbitrary when the correct fill level is even with the bottom of the fill plug (per the service manual). I just fill mine to that level every time and don't worry about the exact volume.

My front diff leaks (go figure, less than 300 miles) and I just top it off until it starts comming out the hole. Never had a problem with AWD.
