Unhappy

Well, I'm glad I picked up a couple of 08 700 X2s for the ranch while they still existed. The 700 seems to work really well with tracks, good power and decent fuel use. The 800s have great power, but they like the fuel and if your not careful in heavy wet snow, they like to smoke belts. I know guys run the 500's with tracks (Mongrol) and do fine but the 700 seems to be a happy medium.

I just think Polaris is missing the boat, if they drop the big bore X2's, they are just a really good all around work horse.

My .02

I saw that and thought, wow! Fully independent 6wd. I can't imagine too many circumstances where that would be stopped. I like the tool box they have behind the cab. Now, if I only had the spare cash lying around.

The fuel capacity is down about a gallon too. That's about 20 miles less per tankful. They do have a lock-n-ride box that you can get for the back though. About time. It's a half bed box that can be installed on either side. 2 boxes for a full bed. Interesting looking. Wonder if they fit the old X2? I noticed the Touring models are shorter than the X2s. I thought they were the same length, but looking back at the current models I see it's the same. I had to laugh when looking at the bed images for the 800 6x6. They were showing the X2. OOPS... Scrambler is ugly. And no dual a-arm on the front???? It's funny but the look that looks so wrong on the new Scrambler isn't too bad on the Trailblazer. New Trail Boss looks a little more modern too. Well, that's my less than humble opinions on the new ATVs.
Your not the only one asking those questions. I am very disapointed there is not a 850 EPS X2. I was planning to buy one ASAP. I was 99% sure the X2 was going to get moved to the XP chassis this year, so I sold my 08 800 X2 about a month ago. I was just not expecting them to not offer it with EPS nor the 850 motor. The X2s are not light weight quads and the larger motor is verry important to me for high alltitude areas. Plus I like power, the 550 just won't cut it for me. The new touring models look odd in the black, and are just not near as versital as the X2s.

I too wanted a 850 XP X2. Guess I will be keeping my SP800X2 for a while.

Sounds like most every one here and on HL that was intersested in a two up Sportsman was wanting the 850 X2 version and not the touring model. I just don't get why polaris skipped the 850 X2, but spent the money to design and build an X2 for the XP chassis.

Add me to the disappointed no 850 X2 EPS crowd. I have a 2007 and 2008 800 X2, so I'll be keeping those until this model comes out...

Guess I will be another on the disappointed list also. I was hopeful for something completely new in 2 up that combined the X2 and touring together. I am ready to buy right now but will have to wait and see the touring before deciding.

I have been giving some thought to maybe building one. Say buy the RED 850 T with eps. Then buy the parts that make up the bed and back seat for the Red 550 X2. Both machines are on the same wheelbase, both machines are avalble in that same color, I have a feeling the frames and such are probably the same as well. What do you guys think?
