The hose is most likely a vent hose if you trace it back and then go to the parts breakdown that STENDORI sent you the link to you can see what it is. Here is just a thought, why don't you take the battery out of the one that is running and see if the motor will turn over since you know that battery is good. Again this is just my thoughts but if I had two ATVs the same model I would switch from one to the other to find what I need instead of spending $$ on what you and all of us think it might be. But if she turns over and you have good compression, fire, fuel and timing then it should run.

funny that you mention that, the battery in the other one is bad also they have been sitting for years in a garage. I've been using the pull start to start the one that runs. So what do you guys think could be the problem with the pull start on the one that is broken? It winds up but once I put it on the atv it locks again???

You can buy the whole thing on e-bay for $99.00 trail blazer 250 pull start, great deals on on eBay!
But as I said before I would get it runing with parts from the good one before I spent a lot of money on it. Just my openion.

Well I want to thank you guys both stendori and Big-O for the help on my ATV. I switched the recoil from the 2002 to the 2000 and it worked just fine. Thank you very much so now I know I just need to replace the recoil starter, as well as the battery and the electronic starter on the 2000. I do have one more question, on the one I was having the problems with now when I put it in reverse it will not go it just makes a noise but if I hold the brake in a little bit or if I hit the power yellow button it will work just fine? Any ideas? Thanks again!
