Default 2003 Sportsman 600 is it worth buying

I am looking at purchasing a 2003 Sportsman 600 for $3600 with less than 2k miles with a 2500# Warn Winch, 60" Galcier Plow system, No cracks, rips or dents. I have not riden it yet but that will be the last test. Looking at the price of others it is in line with the others but just want o know if there is anything else to look at on this model

Thanks,

Hello, This is the exact bike I have. I bought mine in early spring of this year. Mine is loaded with front and rear racks, hand warmers, 2500# winch, polaris plow, front and rear bumpers, and it had 2500 miles. I gave $3000 for mine. Hope this helps.

I bought one of those new and have about 5k miles on it. My wife rides is now and I will probably keep it forever to plow snow. It's been a good ride.

I have that machine and there are a few updates that could be done from the dealer. Overall it has been a good machine.

I have a 04 600 twin and I love it. Has the 2500 lbs winch, front/back bumpers, Polaris Plow, 2up, front windshield and its a great bike. I love it.

There have been a few updates. The carb was rejetted, makes it run richer so that you don't have to use choke all the time to start and helps in colder weather..There was a vent tube issue, I haven't had that one done, And 1 more but I don't rememeber what it was. Just call a dealer with your VIN# and ask if there are any updates that need to be done and they will let you know. Also, mine had a slow leak from the water pump cover because it was a metal plate over a plastic part. My dealer gave me a new one that is all solid aluminum and has a better gasket.

Do a cylinder compression test.
Check frame for rust and cracks.
Raise and shake the front end, make sure it's tight, and straight.
Remove wheels, check U-joints, CV joint boots, and brakes.
Check for engine smoke.
