Default How much grease

I figured it is time to buy a grease gun and add some grease to the nipples on my popo.
It was the first time I have ever used a grease gun and am not sure if I did it right. I fit the end onto the nipple and squeezed the trigger I could hear the grease going in, (about 2 pumps of the trigger) and then it sounded like the cavity was full and trying to push grease out the ends so I stopped. is that correct? Is that it? and how often should I be doing this.

yes you should stop once it starts to get firm. if you dont you run the risk of blowing out a seal. on joints that just have dust covers and bushing you push grease until you see new stuff coming out. on those you should grease after every watery ride. that way you can push the water/mud out of them.

Did you get the CV by your right foot, no more than 3 pumps for it. If you plan on riding a lot a ATV jack with all 4 wheels off the floor would be a good investment, makes it easy to get to zerks on the drive shaft by turning the wheels by hand.

when you said (the CV by your right foot, no more than 3 pumps for it) are you refering to the drive shaft? I greased the four corners and the only other one I saw was the drive shaft nipple. I didn't grease that one yet, it looked pretty hard to get too. Thanks for the tip of using the atv jack. Do I have to take off the floor board to get to it?
