Glad we're talking about this, I've been telling everyone how much I like it for the past week. I recently traded my 2000 Explorer 400 in after going through 3 brake pads in the front and 2 in back. Got a 2001 Sportsman 500 H.O. Love the EBS, makes it easier/safier/faster to slow down in the turns on trails and going down steep hills. I was a little nervous sometimes on my Explorer going down some places. I give it 2 thumbs up!!!

It has its pros and cons... It's nice to be able to let up on the gas and slow down, but with EBS, you are either giving it gas or braking... it would be nice to "coast" sometimes. I like it when I am traversing down steep hills, but when it is muddy/snowy/icy, my backend tends to try and pass me... you have to give it gas to trick the EBS, while braking to slow down. The first time it happened to myself and my wife, we were going down a gradual hill (30 to 35 degrees) and it wasn't immediately apparent what to do. My wife grabbed the brakes and did a 180 and I gassed it and was fine. I guess if I had to pick between having it and not having it, I would rather have it, but it would be nice if it was something you could turn on or off according to the conditions, and it would be nice if it was 4-wheel braking while in 4-wheel drive.
