I am having issues with my sportsman where the front wheels are engaging when in 2 wheel drive. Its an '06 800. This is the second time this has happened. The first time was still covered under warranty. I have done a lot of reading and saw that a lot of people have replaced their cages with parts from John Deere. I was just wondering how these have been holding up since they posted last. I have also seen that there are aluminum aftermarket ones available. Does anybody have any experience with these? I know they are more expensive, but do they last? If they were to fail what other problems do they cause? Is the cage relatively easy to replace? Thanks for the help.

the people who have replaced the roller cage w/ the john deere parts have never came back on to say they didnt work or any issues w/ them that i have have read. the alum cage will cause other parts to break instead from what i remember reading form a guy who worked for the hillard company. imo
