Hey guys,

My 04 600 sometimes just randomly starts missing. Yesterday I was trail riding and it was doing great, then it started missing when I pressed the gas. If I let up, it would idle just fine. I had to put the choke on just to get it out of the woods, after I got back to the truck, it started running smooth again. It did this once and I used some sea foam in the gas, hoping it would clear it up and it did work. If it got to hot would this cause this problem, I noticed some gas in my over flow tube also.

did you check to make sure the etc is set correctly. if not set at about 1/8" it sometimes kick the overide on causing it to not want to run beyond idle. just a thought.

 

The etc, is that the throttle control, sorry not really mechanically inclined.

 

yes it is. it prevents the bike from running say if the throtle was stuck wide open.
