I've read of people flipping the outer tie rod upside down to gain clearence of tire instead of a spacer kit or rims with wider tires.

 

Forgot to ask question, any body with expierience on this subject? Do the tie rods last, any problems?

 

So far so good on mine - course I haven't put as many miles as I would have liked since doing this..... I am thinking (out loud), most people may see a little more wear on the TRE after the flip, only for the reason we do it to put larger tires on (just a thought - lol).

 

I have seen no complaints out of anyone that has flipped the end, as said above, there may be a little more were, but it is likely due to the added tire size and weight also

 

What do you mean flipping the outer tie rod upside down? The stock location it sits on top of the bracket on the strut do you put it under the bracket?
