thermo sensor

I know this is too late for helping Sportsman95, but cross checking pipe thread and operating temps, Polaris part# 4110189= $29.80 or 4010202=$68.00, will fit this machine, it has 1/2" pipe thread and opens around 175 degrees then closes at 155 degrees. I to looked for this, but came up empty at first. I went with a variable temp switch to control the fan, and put a water temp probe in the radiator where the sensor was bolted, (with the gauge under the seat to keep somewhat protected,as I dont do any deep water crossing) to see exactly what operating temps i run,and adjust fan accordingly. If the variable switch fails, the wiring is right there to put in a rocker switch for key on fan if needed

on my 95 explorer,..i got worry'd bout if it was running hot an if fan was workin,..so i pulled sending unit outta radiator an dropped it in pot of water with cooking thermometer an heated it an checked with meter to see when it closed circuit,..cut off heat an let it cool to see when it opened circuit,..did same with sending unit for heat light,..then being as **** retentive as i am,..found another set of sending units to have as spares,..then bought a standard manual temp gauge from parts house an instaled it in head instead of sending unit, mounted gauge on handle bars near pod,..then wired heat light to shine when fan comes on,...fan comes on bout 185-190 an kicks off bout 180,..an know fan workin when light is on!
