Hello, I bought a 2005 trailboss for my wife and kids to ride. I would like to give in some upgrades. So far I have upgraded the filter and gave it a carb rebuilt. Also bought some new tires for the rear. The tires are one size bigger and bite really good, they are called Bear Claws. I would like to upgrade the clutch springs next, I pulled the side cover and looked at the front clutch thinking thats the primary one and it has a baby blue color in it. no other colors on it. We do some hill climbing, trail riding and play in the snow with it. I read the pink one is the way to go for the front part #patv8. Could someone tell me the part number for the rear one I sould go with. Thank you for any help to come.
Ride safe

I looked at the front spring a little closer and it is light blue with green strips on it, they are faded. I pulled the second one out and it looks like its in the 2-2 ratio, if I change it to the 1-1 ratio will they help for take off. also need to get a ring tool so I can open it up to see what spring is in there, any words of wisdom would be helpful

1-1 will get you less take off better top speed worse back shift.IF you can find a secondary spring out of a 500 Scrambler it will be better than what you have. But I like the aaen blue matched with the EPI pink spring

Ok will do. How much play should the belt have when its in neutral? Belt is 2 months old and moves about 3 inches up and down.
Thank you

I'm having issues with creepage and belt grenades on my 05 sporty 800. Anybobdy know a link which explains how ot tear apart the clucth and install a clutch kit? I have 28" tires so I have read that I should install a kit. Also, there is some side to side play on the primary. Thanks!

www.epiperformance.com Will have a video on a 06 800 Sportsman and another video of why you need a clutch kit. On the wibsite go the the left hand side and click on the playground. There you will find the videos. You can also click on the EPI add on this site to get there.
