192 hours is about average. I have an 05 with 146 hours. Change all the fluids and you should be good to go for years. NAPA has oil filter and Mobil1 sythetic (0W40W) will save you some money from Polaris parts. Use the other (hub\differential and tranny) Polaris fluids.

 

I have an '04 Sportsman 600... The YB30L-B battery is $126 from the local dealer. Battery Warehouse has a replacement for $79 (not YUSA). $150+ at NAPA. Found it a few places on-line for $62, but with shipping it's over $80.
Should I buy the replacemnt versions, or go with the OEM. This is the ORIGINAL battery... it has lasted me 5 years.

I don't know if you have a Mills Fleet Farm but they have the gel batteries and they are always at a good price. i have the same machine. Hopefully it will treat you well. Call your local dealer with the VIN there have been a few manufacture upgrades that you should make sure are done.

 

The polaris 600 made the trip from Dallas TX to Southern Illinois. I went to my locar Harley mechanic and found out that he sells a sealed 385cca battery for Harley drag bikes that is the same as the Polaris battery. I picked one up for $90, battery problem solved. Looks as if I will have to put new tie rod ends on the machine and they are already ordered. Deer season starts next weekend so I have a deadline.
