Default Primary and Secondary Clutch Question

I have what seems to be a dumb question, but I will ask anyway. Is there a difference between the primary clutch on an EBS equipped Sportsman 500, 700, and 800 - other than the weights? I am looking to replace mine on an 08 Sportsman 800 HO, and wanted to know if the parts are interchangeable with other models, other than the wieghts, which do not come with a new primary clutch anyway. Also, are the secondary clutches interchangeable, as long as it is an EBS model? How about with a RZR? Any input would be appreciated here.

Between all the different size sportsmans the "tuning parts will be different, which is the primary spring and weights in the primary clutch and secondary spring and helix in the secondary clutch. If you buy a new primary it will come without spring and weights. Depending on how far you go back Polaris uses a different style of secondary clutch for EBS models on the newer models compared to what they used a few years back. The spring and helixes are different sized and shaped. Primary I believe are the same. All primarys take the same clutch puller except for the RZR's and the new 550/850 XPs.

On Polaris website on the parts fiche you can click on the part number and see what other models use it. Just look up the clutch for you model and next to the description click on the usage button.

I hope that helps a little.
