Clutch Kit
#2
I've heard very good things about the clutch kits done by quad shop customs (QSC). They have mud pro and speed pro kits available i believe, after reading several reviews on other forums i'm leaning towards pulling my heelclicker and getting a QSC for that too....

I had an EPI spring kit in my old Prairie 650 that made a huge difference. I'd be interested in doing the same for my Sportsman.
Does anyone out there have an EPI clutch kit installed on their Sportsman 850XP? I'm interested in more low to mid range power.

I have installed mine, I didnt take the plastics off or remove the rear axle like they did on the show, the secondary clutch does take a bit of manauvering to get out, it's easy to do the primary without taking it out also, took me about 2 hrs to do the first time

I would recomend EPI clutch kits (course I'm a little bias) I have ridden the 850 with the kits in and they work well. No matter what brand you use you have to look at your riding style and what you are looking for and compare that to what the companies kits are designed for. What elevation you ride at will decide what kit you will need. EPI kits are designed for 0-3000 ft or 3000-6000ft elevation. You shouldn't need to remove the axle to work on clutches, you will need to remove the left rear tire though. A new part # for the 2010 850 XP with stock tires will be out in a few days. Sport Utility kit for Oversize tires and Mudder kits take the same part number as the 2009 models.
