Ok,pulled the rocker cover,rockers & side cam cover.The lobes/Rockers looked good as well as the decompression ball,the return spring was weak so went and picked up one at polaris,I adjusted the valves & put every thing back together,that pretty much rules out everything except the starter and starter drive,I saw some aftermarket starter/drive combos on Ebay for under $100 ,not sure if they are any good but I'll try one
