Will a 500 scrammy motor work on an 03 trailboss, Any idea what problems to expect on the change over. Thanks Tony

 

well, you'll need the electronics for the scrammy motor, and I'm not sure on the clutches, but I think you would have to use the scrammy primary for proper engagement and what not

 

unless you change the engine and tranny together you will be lookin at some serious clutch tuning

 

I wouldnt mess with changing motors like that you are opening a can of worm.You will need the radiator and parts for that along with sensors different motor mounts and a ton of other things.It would be cheaper,easier and faster to just buy a 500 Scrambler or rebuild the 330 motor.RcR makes a good top notch big bore kit for those and has reasonable rates if you send him the motor.

 

he's doing my 400 2-stroke and it should be sent to the house monday or tuesday.
$280. for a bore ,piston,rings and top-end gaskets ,just to give you an idea
