Default 05 sportsman 700

just got it , never had one before , rear brake does not seem to work , no pressure with pumping not sure if just poor fluid of rear brake cylinder . front brakes work fine and will engage the rear .
anyone have a service manual download spot ???

The footbrake is ONLY an emergency brake. The lever on the bars engages all brakes.

so it won't lock up the rear??

there is a bleed screw on the rear caliper. follow the brake hose from the foot master cylinder to find the correct bleeder valve and bleed the brake. if you need more details in how to bleed brakes just ask...

some bleeding details would be good ,know how to bleed a truck is there any diff??

yes, the lever will lock up the rear, and I the rear breaks aren't noted to be anything special, but I'd try bleeding it as popoman suggested, and you should get some feeling back

Also I'll send you a PM with the 07 700 manual, I know it's 2 years newer, hardly anything changed

bleed just like you would a truck yep... pump the foot pedal hold it open bleeder valve cloe bleeder valve when the brake fluid slows to a stop... repeat until no air bubbles.. When i bought my 800 the guy said "its been to the dealer to fix the foot break like 2 times but it never works" has worked for over 3 months since i bleed it..
