Default Sportsmen 500, stuck in high gear.

Today while plowing snow, I couldn't get it to shift out of high gear. The gear shifter will move freely through all the gears, yet I can't feel it lock in any of the gear positions.

I've tried shifting while very slowly rolling (frontwards and backwards) with no luck.

Could anyone help me out? I really need my quad for snow removal and can't have it down for too long.

Thanks!

First of all I wouldn't be plowing in high gear......I'm sure someone will chime in on the issue soon though.....

Hopefully soon...

It was a fairly light snow, but I will keep that in mind though.

Thanks,

Carl

check to see if the linkage popped off the trans gear selector lever... if it hasnt popped off and the shift lever on the transmission is moving you may have broken something internal..

Hey guys, just thought I'd let y'all know I adjusted the high/neutral linkage, and it shifts great now!

Thanks for the suggestions, I really wasn't expecting it to be that easy, haha.
