Default 1999 trailboss 250 wont start once warmed up

I have a 1999 trailboss 250, it starts up fine out in the cold weather in the morning (15 degrees outside). it starts up fine and runs great, i can go drive it for as long as i want. then after i shut it off... if i try starting it again within like 5 seconds it will fire right up no problem but if i let it sit for like 10 minutes it will not fire. maybe a carb problem? getting flooded out or something? i dont know. can anyone help?

It might need the top end rebuilt.

if it needed rebuilding wouldnt it start harder when it was cold.. not warmed up? once it warms up the piston expands and actually pushes out more compresion. it starts perfect when cold. i was thinking a coil could be going bad, once it warms up the coil might be breaking down. i am going to check it today.

oh ha alright sorry new at this, but yeah i hooked up my compression tester and yeah it was low. it read about 80 when cold. then about 75 once warmed up. now my next question is, would i be able to get by with just replaceing the rings or do you think i need to bore it out to the next size and get an oversized piston? let me know what you guys think. thanks

Bore it out to the correct size and get a new piston

ill probably tear it apart in a couple weeks here, still in the process of rebuilding my banshee, pistons are suposed to be here for that by the end of the week, the trailboss was sitting for a while, i know sometimes the rings will stick to the piston if sitting a while. hopefully its something easy like that, i really dont want to spend the money on getting it bored out and new piston. but yeah thanks for the help
