Default 95 Sportsman 400 tire/rims

Was trying to find new rubber for it and the problom I keep running into is the rear tire size...seems for good mud tires the oem size (25x12x10) is hard to find or just can't..I did find a site that I can get tire and rim package that changes the rear to 25x12x12..comes with a rim to that tire so the rim will fix no prob...question is will I be able to run that tire without any issiues like rubbing ect ect on the rear?

Personaly I would love to get bigger tires on it but the fronts if I go bigger I can tell it will rub or hit something...or just a rim and tire size I can have diff rubber options instead of being so limited..

Anyhoo any help with the main Question would be great..thx

I had the same problem. I wanted the Maxxis Zillas in 25x12x10, but they where on indefinite backorder. So I went ahead and got them in 25x10x12 with the ITP Delta rims. I didnt want the Mudbugs becuase they are too rough riding on hard pack for me. I've had the Zillas on for 2 weeks now, and I am really pleased. I just with the rears where wider! A 25x12x12 would have been nice, but they dont offer the Zilla in that size.

Later...

The mudlite has 2 different tread heights in the 25". They have the AT & the XL. XL is the deep lug. 1-1/8" i think.
