Default got 2-cycle fever.........

curious where you can punch a 250cc out to, like the air cooled part but, might have to go coolant cooled to get more thump, really like the whine of a 2 stroke.........................

Dont ever bore out thinking you get more power you just waist life of a cylinder.
A properly set up 250 has respectable power and can be dont for lots less than a 400L or any 4stroke.Catch me some weekend and call me I can explain the principles of these things.

mostly changing exhaust, carbration, air flow and big time clutching are the easiest way to suck power out of a 2 stroke until you get into changing port timing(port and polishing) which makes it riding on the edge. imo.

thaqnx for your imfo stendori, just deciding on a 400 or not, might keep this for the simplicity of air cooled, but i hear that the more you tweek a air cooled engine, the hotter it gets and it gets hot in summer, can't let it idle......maybe hook up a fan and just strap a sensor to the block(like things automatic)..............just looked up ritter like you guys said and it says shaved head $50,bore carb oversized-$60....wow sounds good, anyone had any of this done??????? especially the bored carb one............also like the lightness of this bike.....adding coolant,radiator,30lbs more for 400,probably change this thing completely,i just put 97 400 scrambler front springs on this thing and now its truck solid......its so light that when you hit the brakes with the little worn springs, about throw you over the handlebars..............

Default 250

you might look at what HPD has for 250 and 400 they have some great parts and performance kits and are very good people to work with if you have questions about parts.they have a race mod kit thats suppose to give a 250 enough power to beat a 400. HPD-inc.com
