transmission help

Ok got the tranny outta the parts bike, was a pain in the but, I'm gonna just take the bike to the mechanic and let him do the other one, cause the bike also needs swing arn bushings

I'm just gonna swap to a spare tranny, I'll crack the other one to see if there is damage, may not be for a few weeks though, did urs start doing it without warning or did urs have other symptoms?

My story is similar to yours. Popped out of forward a few times during a ride. Came home adjusted linkage. Seemed to be ok. Went on trip last weekend with it and a bunch of guys. Friday night late I was about 3 miles from our camp and it would not stay in forward at all. even if i put pressure on the handle with my foot. Had to ride all the way back in reverse. feels like it goes in then you touch the throttle then it just grinds. I have to take mine out also. When you split the case let me know what you find.
