Any winch I ever seen came with the wiring instuctions, as for the mounting of the plate and winch itself it just up to the type of front end and bumper of the ATV. Just make sure the plate is bolted on something strong (Frame/Bumper).

If it's your '06 it is already pre wired for a winch...

Just make sure you get the correct mount for your wheeler - it is not that hard to mount or wire one.

It is pretty straightforward with directions on the Polaris. Take off any jewelry if the battery is in a tight spot. On my X2 the battery was a little close to the engine block when I was putting the positive line back on. My wedding wing got right between the post and engine block. The ring almost got spot welded to the block with my finger still in it. Took about an 1/8" of flesh off the top of my finger. FUN!

If it is your 06, it is pre wired, and under the right front fender there is a small shield, that is for mounting the contactor, there are also wires up there with a cover on them that says "winch", you need to connect the other end of that wire to the battery, it is under your left rear fender, and is shrink wrapped, mine was in yellow, the shrink wrap needs to be removed and then hook it up to the battery

What brand of winch and mount plate did you go with?
