Our 97 SP500 was grindy and hard to put in forward and then would pop into neutral easily on its own. I adjusted the rod just a little and it work perfect again.

I just tuned the adjuster with trial and error until it worked. No need to tighten the lock nuts until you find the correct adjustment to help speed things up.

Check out this thread too. there is a video I posted which shows the secondary clutch at idel. If it is moving, then that is what is causing your machine to creep.

Whatch the front tire when going threw a mud pit. See if they spin up mud when your spinning. Some. 4x4 on demand 500. Only engage awd when your rear tires spinn faster then your front like when it's start slipping it engages. Or. When the front drive is faster then your front wheels it engages a electro magnetic system to engage. If not Check your wiring and your wheel bearing. Or aka hillard clutch
