Question CV boot

I just noticed that the bearings are clicking, and the CV boot is torn!
The people at the ATV store said we need to replace the bearings. Will this cost a lot? I don't know a lot about bearings, or CV joints, so I'm stuck on what to do.

Once they start popping they normally are close to ruined. Ebay sells them but try to find Polaris parts. Changing the cv joint is not hard with a manual.

yes even if you repack them w/ grease it won't fix the issue. if it's clicking, 99% of the time if needs being replaced or at least will after awhile beofre it totally breaks apart. imo

Check with theC-V Man on ebay or call him at 1-800-338-2326, he sells good quality parts, cheaper than polaris, good service too.

I've purchased parts from ebay before also- so far so good- way less expensive then going factory. It's not too rough a job to tackle yourself- basic hand tools. Buy a pair of reversible snap ring pliers if you already don't own a pair- maybe $15 at auto store. I was able to latch the boot bands with needle-nose vise grips also (instead of buying the tool that does it.)
