CV boot
#1
I just noticed that the bearings are clicking, and the CV boot is torn!
The people at the ATV store said we need to replace the bearings. Will this cost a lot?
I don't know a lot about bearings, or CV joints, so I'm stuck on what to do.

yes even if you repack them w/ grease it won't fix the issue. if it's clicking, 99% of the time if needs being replaced or at least will after awhile beofre it totally breaks apart. imo

I've purchased parts from ebay before also- so far so good- way less expensive then going factory. It's not too rough a job to tackle yourself- basic hand tools. Buy a pair of reversible snap ring pliers if you already don't own a pair- maybe $15 at auto store. I was able to latch the boot bands with needle-nose vise grips also (instead of buying the tool that does it.)
