check you water pump seals

 

does it always have risidue pressure in the system, when you pop the cap when cold?
put the tester on it and take it for a ride. heat will cause presssure, but compression can leak into the cooling system as well. A regular test may not see this.

Does it blow coolant out the overflow, at times when it isn't really hot at all?
