Put one in my 04 700 about a month ago and no issues at all. I have tracks and ride it very hard...so if it has put up with the abuse i have laid to it...then it is good. PS...still not a good idea to flip the switch while the rear wheels are spinning at all...just have to get good at switching it on when needed. Also...love to spin around also but i have 700EFI Yama to do that

nope i would never flip the switch while spinning, mine would just go into awd for no dang reason with switch in 2wd pissed me off i hope this new cage makes it work normal again

Both 700's I put the John Deere cage and rollers in worked perfectly afterwards. Just pay attention to the order everything comes apart and you'll be just fine. Also pick up John Deere hyguard fluid to put back in the diff if you don't already have the Polaris stuff, it's the same but substantially cheaper as well...

well i'm not real familiar with the hillard in the diff. but If it goes into 4wd in 2wd than I suspect something isn't retaining the rollers properly.

I have rebuilt mine 2x with the JD parts they work great. I used Allballs bearings and seals also.
