just noticed on my dads 2009 xp the decals on it are different from my 2010, right below the sportsman decal it has the xp decal for 2009, and on 2010 it does not. Has anybody noticed this... why would Polaris do this?? Thanks

 

Good question. I just bought my a 550xp and the same thing no xp stickers dealer says some got them some dont. Kind of stupid I think.

 

I do belive that the 2010 550s are no longer xps just called 550 but the 850s are still xps for 2010 as per the polaris web site.

It's because the 550 is no longer an XP! It is just a 550 Sportsaman EFI.

 

It must the 550 thing that everybody is mentioning. I just look at my 850 and it still has the XP logo.

 

I think in time there will no longer be just a standard sportsman as we know today. My gut feeling tells me that within a couple years all sportsman's will be on the XP chassis/set-up. If they did that then they'd probably go back to just calling all of them 450,500,550 etc./sportsman. no XP Just my 2 cents
