My friend is getting a new quad and he has narrowed down his choices to a AC 300 or a Polaris Sportsman 335. I have a AC 300 but do not have any experience with Polaris. From what i have read about the 335 the only "disadvantages" are the greese fittings and it is heavy, some say it is slow too. The AC is a 2000 model and is on sale for 4,500. The Polaris is a 99 and comes with a winch, gun boot, trailer, and a flat gas tank that goes on the racks. If anyone has a 335 let me know what you like and dont like about it. Personally I think for the money the Polaris is a better deal. But for me i am sticking with my AC.

 

I never had any problems with my 335 yet. If I was going to choose I would pick the sportsman. You can't beat the the suspension on the 335. and the ground clearence is one of the highest.Iam not putting the artic cat down but I rode one and there is not much diference in power.I had a hard time getting the artic cat in reverse.

 

I have a 335 and it is a good quad. It will depend on what he wants to do with it. For hunting and trail riding it is great. But it is no racer.
