Default gasket leak

Yesterday I notice my sp500 (51hrs.) making a squeeking noise and found that the intake manifold gasket had a small break in it. I've got it patched up for now with hi-temp RTV. Is this an issue with the 500's or just a fluke? And what would you guys suggest for a new gasket? I considered taking it apart and redoing the gasket with rtv or getting gasket material and cutting a new one. Polaris want's $15 for a new one which is insane for a tiny gasket. And which type of gasket material would be best to match OEM if I go that route. I was thinking a poly/rubber type but whats your opinions.

you said this is the intake gasket and not the exchaust headed gasket? what year is the bike? i know there is the rubber boot for the intake(by the carb) and there is a gasket on the exhaust for like $17. and you might be able to use hi temp rtv or maybe make your own if you bought hi temp gasket materail.imo

this is a 2007 sp500 EFI. It is the gasket between the intake elbow (aluminum) and the block or jug if you will. The injector is mounted in this same elbow.
