Default bogging 700

hello,i ve got a 700 efi that i replaced the fuel pump on and know it boggs like its not getting enuff fuel it doesnt do it all the time and it doesnt seem to do it as bad if you ease it to it rather than floggin it. i was wondering what it may be? thanks for your help

was the fuel filter replaced? the pump you got to replace it w/ the same gpm as the stock? just wondering if th fuel pressure would be enough. just a thought.

yea i replaced the filter,i tore it back down last night and found that one of the tabs that hold the regulator in the plastic had broke and it blew the seal out im not sure how to fix the problem maybe zip tie it together,because i dont beleve you can buy the piece thats broke

not sure on what piece, but if you go to a parts break down maybe you can see it and find out if you can buy it. at least you found the issue. good luck.

If you have the old piece J-B weld it back on or fab up a new tab with the J-B that stuff has saved me many times from having to buy a new part because of a stupid brake on a part

thanks for all your help,i fixed the regulator,but know the pump wont hold pressure so its hard to start and sometimes backfires,the regulator is bad and you cant buy just the regulator you have to replace the hole tank which sucks its 450.00 looks like its gonna be sitting for a while

what did you replace the pump w/ when you relaced it? no way of getting an after market one?

i used the pump that someone on here said would work its actually for a hyndia

Not sure what regulator your talking about, I have used the air-tec pumps from the parts store and had good luck with them,maybe you can get what you need from e-bay, they have gas tanks.

the regulator is the black round thing inbetween the pump and the top of the sending unit
