hello there on my atv the fan does not work when i unplug the thermal sensor and jump it the fan works to me it seems the sensor is gone i was wondering where the breakers are on the scrambler or is this a common problem thanks.

 

I don't believe there is a breaker for the sensor if we are talking about the same one that screws into the top of the radiator. Most likely the sensor is bad

 

On the 02 rad the thermal fan switch screws into the bottom corner of the rad. The Polaris stock Part # is 4010161.

If Your dealer's prices are crazy, these thermal sensors from a auto parts store will work, you just have to spice your old sensor's wire plug in connection on the end.

or any sensor for a 84-88 Nissan Maxama or 86-89 Nissan Stanza will work.

 

I tried getting the automtive sensor cant find new ones anywhere. I found one for a 5oo predator I was wondering if anyone knows if it will work in the scrambler thanks.

 

The Predator use a Polaris Part #4010808 http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...2004&fveh=5648 while the 02 Scrambler is Part #4010161 so its different in some way.

 

I ended up ordering a sensor from cycleparts warehouse put it in and the fan started working again thanks for the help right now iam looking for the serial # on the 400 scrambler if anyone knows were it is let me know thanks.
