Tire size question
#1
OK, this question may sound simple to u gurus, I know that there is supposed to be a difference in the height of the front tires and the rear tires for the 4 X 4 to work correctly, but I am trying to figure out how much of a difference there is and which has to be taller, the front or the back?
This is for a 1993 350L. I just recently purchased some used 27" Gators for a good price. The guy stated that they were off of his 93 350L so I assumed (I know) that it would be easy to figure out. The 27 X 8 X 12 went in the front, and the 27 X 12 X 10 went in the back. But not sure if it looks right, the fronts are taller than the backs. But I would figure that the skinnier tire goes in the front?
Any help would be really appreciated,
Jeff

you would be correct on the fornt and rear tires. the tire size-27"x8"x12"=27" is height,8" is the width,10" is the rim size. on the older bikes the rear rims where smaller but the over height tire is the same. the 8" is for the width, which would be narrower up front then on the back. hopefully that is what you were asking.

Thanks for all the help, and clarification. I put my new tires on last night, and can't believe how much higher it makes it sit. I realy like the new stance. I hope to get some pics of it and it's twin sister tonight.
