Default where's that make / model thread on HP?

A while back someone posted a thread on the current models and their HP rating- anyone know where that thread is?

Looking to compare the AC 1000 to the outlander 800

Thanks!

yep- that was the one but, like you said- it looks a little out dated, maybe 2007?

I think we need to make a current list!

Got into it with a Thunder Cat rider that lives on my street who insists his TC has 15-20 hp over the outty 800- He thinks his TC has over 90 hp (stock by the way)
He's one of those "everyone's atv sucks because it's not what he rides" guys

Says "all japanese" atv's have plastic diff gears, can-am's have weak frames, popo's have bad suspensions and weak motors- and he researched in-depth before choosing his god made TC-

I got tired of listening to his flapper so I got into it with him a little- he's 26 yo and been riding atv's for 3 years. His first ATV was a honda rancher- his second this TC - nuff said

The thundercat was rated at 65HP, the 850XP at 69.1, and the Outlander 800R at 71. All at the crank. The Thunderkitty does have great torque numbers I'm told, but those don't get published (by any brand, which is stupid, as you buy HP but you drive Ft/lbs). He is buying the shovelful of dealer BS if he thinks the Polaris's have crap suspension. Or that Japanese quads have plastic diff gears. The Can Am frame thing I think holds just a bit of water, as both Can Am guys we ride with have had frame issues.

He is maybe thinking the crap suspension thing because the AC guys say the swaybar ruins IRS on a quad (which I think is BS too.) Or maybe he is just an elitist A-hole, just like you said. His brand is gold and your brand is sh*t.

I know I can't take the harsh ride of an AC quad for long, as my back starts in with the spasming. That may be the biggest reason I drive a Polaris. The Thundercat is surely straight line fast, but the guy who brought one out with us couldn't keep up in the woods, against my XP and my friends Outty 650XT. He did catch up on the long straights though.

The only off thing is no way the KQ 450 has 37 hp its just has the 454 Suzki motor and the 500 KQ does not have 38 hp it has the 493 Suzuki motor the 500 AC and Vinson had.

I rode the 450 KQ anf if it has 37 hp it hides it well. It this 450 KQ review its down side was power.
