Default Polaris starter nightmare

I have began trying to remove a starter on a 1996 250 Trail Boss and cannot figure out how to remove a mounting screw at the top of the starter. I have removed the pull starter casing and have exposed the flywheel I guess its a flywheel)(not much of a mechanic here) and it appears all that is left is that bolt.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The best way that I have found is to pull the front clutch cover, the clutches, and the rear clutch cover. although it may seem to be the long way around, it makes it easy to remove and replace the starter. Also, it gives you a chance to inspect the clutches, belt, and clutch covers for cracks.

If its any thing like the Sportsman which the manual also says remove both clutches and back plate, you take out the air box, remove bottom starter mount bolt, back off top bolt,it will hit the back clutch housing plate and not come out but will disconnect. Take a large channel lock plier and grab the starter and rotate the starter until you can pull out the remaining bolt, then the starter pulls right out.
