Question Carburetor problems

I own a Polaris Trailblazer 250 completely stock. When I try to start it the carb. is blowing out air instead of sucking it in. Can anyone tell me whats wrong? I have never heard of this problem before.

welcome to the forum. most likely if you do a a compression test, you'll find there is not much and will need to rebuild the top.

i have a 95 polaris trailboss 250....there are 2 brass vent nipples on the right side of the carb.
i have been looking for info on where the tubes that connect to them are supposed to be run to and cant find any info....if you have any ideas i would love to hear them.....very frustrated with polaris right now.
also when running even at idle speeds the lower end of the motor sounds like a screaming jet engine and the top end was fresh rebuilt with a 1 over bore.

Replied to your pm,but just run two new tubes from these openings and vent up under the fuel tank. All three (3) originally tied together with a one way T valve: one vent on each side of the carb and tied into overflow vent. NOT necessary to tie em back together. If you didn't rebuild the bottom end when you had the top end done, its possibly the crank bearings or rod bearing you are hearing! I've seen this happen dozens of times and finally refused to guarantee just a top end on 2-strokes only even if you couldn't "feel" any play in the rod or bearings or "hear" any bearing noise when the top end was torn down and you were checking out the bottom end! Especially if the piston skirt was broken! No way that you can get all the trash out,PLUS if the top end is worn, most of the time unless it happens to be a fairly new machine, the bottom end will be worn and may not outlast the top end job! may be time for a complete engine rebuild (you can still save the piston and rings and fresh bore job) BUT if the bottom crank bearings or rod bearing spits out pieces,it can take out a brand new piston and bore job!
