I drained the front diff fluid today on my '08 Sporty 500 and was carefully measuring out and adding the 9.3 oz of Demand Drive Plus that the manual says is supposed to go in. Well, I could only get about 7 oz back in. I had the bike level and double checked that the fluid dripped out the fill hole after a trip around the block. Anybody else run into something like this? Is the manual wrong?

 

Just fill it up until it runs out and that will work just fine..Do that on all the atv's that I service and had no problems..

 

The filler hole is not on the top because its also what tells you your fluid limit, it runs out you cant over or under fill.

 

Same with the tranny fluid just pump it in till it runs out the fill hole and put the plug back in your done . No need to worry about exact measurements . I'm now at 8000 miles on my 08 and I've never even cleaned that little screen and I never will .
