Default Gas Leak from carb vent

I just picked up a 04 Sportsman 500 HO that has developed a gas leak out the carb vent tube. I’m thinking the needle valve is not seating well due to ethanol buildup. FYI it will leak when running also. I have yet to put sea foam in, as i do with the X2.
Question: is do you think by just running a higher concentrate of sea foam will clean it out or should I just bite the bullet and pull and clean the carb?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Bite the bullet and do it the right way and it'll be done with.

what he ^ said, seafoam is good stuff to prevent trouble, but once you have an issue your asking a lot from it.

Get a new needle and seat and replace it while you have the carb apart, then start shutting the gas off when you park it and it will last along time, check your engine oil for gas ,when they do this they tend to drown the engine and get gas in the oil.
