Sportsman 400 at 29hp ? They must mean the older sportsman 425 http://www.powersportsnetwork.com/en...hicleCode=2198 not the 455. How old does that list go? There is not 400H.O on it. H.O means the hot cam part.

Howdy DODGE57HEMI...........Polaris lists the Sportsman 550 at 42 hp instead of the listed 40.2 in your post......are these horsepower numbers you listed supplied by the manufacturer or by an independent source?.......typo?......thanx........NoJoke

Actually I built most of this list straight from the Can-Am web sight!

The nicest thing about EPS is that when you hit a rock or something it doesn't rip the handle bars out of your hands, the ease of steering is 2nd.

The EPS on a Polaris takes 100% of the road feel out of the steering and I really don't like that part of it.

The neat thing about it is when you point it up a hill it doesn't slow down, it just keep going like it's still on flat land.

It's nice on a smaller machine, so I can only imagine it would be as nice or nicer on a bigger, longer X2. Definitely worth the $ IMO. Love it on the single XP.

It has well over 1000 miles and has never been in the shop yet. I think it's a good quad but not for someone who likes speed and agressive trail ridding!

It's just my least favorite out of all the sport-utilities. 1000 miles is nothing, an ATV should go thousands of miles and never see a repair shop.

ya, It SHOULD go thousands of miles without seeing a repair shop, but the sad fact is that its a rare occasion

ohh, and if no one knew(which many people probably do know) the value models all got a CVT upgrade from the Xps and the sportsman 800's and 6x6's engine is moved back a few inches to improve balance
