Mine are the Polaris Heavy Duty Springs but there are many other aftermarket HD springs for the Sportsmans. There all good.

Polaris, EPI, and a few others make them. Can't say if some are better than others but these are priced reasonably Polaris ATV Suspension Springs

The rear Springs for the 500 Sportsman are all the same from 2005 and up. Part number 7043091-067

You find HD spring for a 05 and up, they will work on yours.

polaris does have hd springs you can buy. if alot of weight was going to be put on the trailer hitch then a straight axle bike would be stronger and handle it better. if you look at the weight limits on the hitchs of these bikes its not alot of weight it can hold. low range should always be used, if for anything to keep the heat down while riding or hauling slowly. imo
